Rules and Regulations to help you enjoy your play date
Rental age:
You must be 21 years of age or older to rent a cottage or
cabin. Otherwise, a parent of guardian must be staying in
the cabin with you.
Check-in:
Begins at 3 p.m. EST. While every effort is made to have
your unit ready promptly, occasionally, there may be a
slight delay and your patience is appreciated. Paradise
cannot be rushed. You will be provided with an access code
at time of deposit, which you will need to enter into the
lock box on your unit. You will need to enter the lock box
code in order to retrieve your unit’s key from the lock
box. We may be on site at time of check-in and will be
happy to assist you. Please be
aware that hot tubs may not be completely heated at check-in
due to cleaning, but will be in the process of heating for
your use.
Check-out:
All good things must come to an end. Please check out by
11a.m. Unfortunately, late checkouts cannot be extended.
Follow checkout guidelines located in your unit. Please
leave the cabin’s key and garage door opener on the kitchen
counter. There is a $100.00 fine if the key or garage door
opener is not found in the unit after checkout.
Cancellation:
Reservations cancelled more than three weeks prior to
arrival will be issued a refund of deposit less a $35
cancellation fee. Cancellations between 8 days and three
weeks prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund. There is
no refund for any monies for cancellations less than 7 days
prior to the stay. We cannot issue refunds for
cancellations due to inclement weather. In the event of an
early departure, refunds cannot be issued.
Reservation Deposit and Payment:
A deposit via credit card for one night’s stay is required
to secure your reservation. The balance is due one week
prior to your arrival. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard
and Discover. The balance can be paid with a credit card,
money order or cashiers check. If we do not receive the
balance more than 7 days prior to your arrival, we will
charge your credit card for the full balance. In addition
to the rental charge, we will charge a 6% lodging tax and
7.25% sales tax. Please be aware that rental rates and
taxes are subject to change.
Damages:
Guests assume full responsibility for any and all damages,
excessive cleaning charges, or any missing items including
towels, linens, etc. We want all guests to have the same
warm Aloha welcome that you had. We reserve the right to
charge your credit card for any damages or excessive
cleaning required after your stay. If you notice any damage
upon arrival, please let us know immediately in order to
avoid charges to your credit card.
Smoking:
No smoking is allowed inside the cabins. The
only fire we want to see is the renewed spark in your
relationship. If you smoke in the units, you will be
subject to a $200.00 charge to your credit card. You are
welcome to smoke outside or on deck or porch. However, we
ask that you use the ashtrays/smoke pails that are provided.
Pets:
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the units or on
the property. Any evidence of a pet on site may
result in a $200.00 charge to your credit card. Besides,
you will see your share of wildlife outside the cabin.
Amenities:
Occasionally hot tubs, saunas, fireplaces, whirlpools,
appliances, electronics, etc. can malfunction. We will try
to restore these amenities as quickly as possible, but
cannot make any rental concessions for time not in service.
The loss of electricity, water, and other “Acts of God”
outside our control will not result in any refund. We ask
that you read the rules and regulations regarding the use of
each amenity carefully and abide by the state guidelines and
policies. Failure to do so may result in a damage or
excessive cleaning charge.
Driving
conditions:
The adventure starts before you arrive. The Hocking Hills
area is a hilly, curvy area. While the roads leading to our
units are paved, the driveway on our grounds is gravel.
Please exercise caution. Whenever possible, it is best to
drive a four-wheel drive vehicle during inclement weather.
As stated above, no refunds are issued due to inclement
weather.
Occupancy:
Our rates are based on two adults. There is an additional
charge of $15.00 per adult and $10.00 per child over the age
of 3. Children under 3 are free.
Our units are geared towards
adults and are not childproofed. If you bring children, it
is at your own risk.
Linens:
We supply bed, bath and kitchen linens, dishes, dish soap,
hand soap, bath soap, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and
trash bags. We also supply a blender, toaster, coffee
maker, microwave, grill, TV, DVD player, alarm clock and hot
tub. You supply the rest! Towels are provided for hot tub
and sauna use too.
Outdoor
fires:
No fires allowed unless in seasonal fire ring. Remember
what Smokey the Bear said, “Only you can prevent forest
fires.”
Pond:
There is no wading, swimming, diving, boating, ice skating,
etc. permitted in the pond. Catch and release fishing is
allowed. This can be done from the shore, door or walking
bridge. No grilling today’s catch for dinner!
Pests:
We treat our units for pest control on a regular basis.
However, the units are in the woods and occasionally you may
see a pest. If so, please be aware that we cannot provide a
refund.
Visitors:
No visitors are allowed to the property. The rental
agreement pertains only to the number of guests you are
paying for. You wouldn’t invite friends on your honeymoon,
would you?
Check-out
clean up:
We ask that you gather all towels used and place in the
nearest bathroom of use. Kitchen towels can be placed in
the sink. Gather all trash and place it in the marked can
on the porch. Wash all dishes used and put them away.
Empty the refrigerator. The next guest probably doesn’t
like your food anyway.
Fireworks:
No fireworks are permitted on the grounds or in the units.
However, what happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom!
Firearms:
No firearms are permitted to be fired in the units or on the
grounds.
Hot tub and sauna:
Hot tubs will be inspected after each rental and
cleaned. If any items such as food, alcohol, soaps,
bath products, etc. are found in the hot tub, you
will be charged an excessive cleaning fee of
$150.00. Damage to any hot tub cover will result in
a $350.00 charge. Covers should remain on the hot
tub at all times when tub is not in use. Children
under the age of 16, pregnant women and persons with
heart conditions or skin sensitivities should not
use the hot tubs. No glass objects should be used
while in the hot tubs. See rules posted in the hot
tub and sauna for more details. You don’t want to
be one of those people who passes out in the hot
tub. So not romantic.
Hunting:
No
hunting is permitted on the grounds. The Queen
wants everyone to be safe.
You agree to hold Queen Bee Cabins
and Cottages LLC and its owners harmless against any
injury or death that results while staying at our
property. We are not responsible for lost or stolen
property.
